Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

If you have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), you may have problems conceiving.

PCOS is one of the most common causes of infertility in women. It is a disease caused by hormonal imbalance in a woman’s body.

The symptoms of PCOS are:
Cyst in the ovary. As the water in the balloon looks, so does the cyst in the ovary. However, in the case of PCOS sufferers, there are hormones instead of water.
This disease causes an increase in the amount of LH or luteinizing hormone. And androgen, which we call male hormones, also increases. These hormonal differences do not cause ovulation (ovulation), which results in irregular menstruation. Due to the increase in androgen hormone, hair can appear on different parts of the body and face. May gain weight.
The incidence of acne may increase. Black spots may appear on the neck, abdomen, and folds of the legs.
If a cyst is caught on ultrasound with any of the above symptoms, it is PCOS. In this case, treatment should be started immediately without delay. The good news is that if infertility occurs due to PCOS, most (at least 60 percent) of women are able to conceive with the right treatment.
So there is no reason to be disappointed with PCOS. One thing to keep in mind is that it is a genetic disease. This disease is not completely cured. However, it is possible to control. For this, besides proper treatment, the patient himself has to follow some rules.

Ways to control this disorder:
1) Weight control.
2) Change in diet – Sugary foods (rice, bread) should be reduced and vegetables, fruits with vitamin ‘C’ and ‘E’ should be eaten.
3) Must be free from worries.
4) Sleep at regular intervals and get enough sleep (6 to 8 hours daily).
5) Regular physical activity – walking, exercise, etc. should be done.
